    Bath-tub Admiral

A Bath-tub Admiral is a loud-mouth, or as they would say in cowboy country, someone who is all hat and no cattle.

Captain Haddock uses this insult in The Adventures of Tintin titled The Red Sea Sharks: “Who’s the bath-tub admiral commanding that crew of landlubbers?”.

A great insult to be used when someone is too big for their boots!

    Example usage:

“Stop boasting about your influence, you bath-tub admiral!”
