Player of the Pink Oboe
Player of the Pink Oboe, or simply, Pink Oboe Player, is an old fashioned way of calling someone a cocksucker.
Famously used by the late comedian Peter Cook in a sketch during “The Secret Policeman’s Ball” in 1979, a benefit show to raise money for Amnesty International.
Example usage:
“… we have been forced to listen to the pitiful whining of Mr Norma St.John Scott – a scrounger, parasite, pervert, a worm, a self-confessed player of the pink oboe; …” – Peter Cook, “The Secret Policeman’s Ball” 1979
