Muffin-Top is the slang name for the fat that spills over the waistline of pants or skirts in a manner reminiscent of the top of a muffin spilling over its paper casing.

Muffin-tops are not generally considered attractive or desirable apart from when they are obviously the result of very tight apparel in an otherwise attractive person.

The term originated down under ( Australia, not down under as in below the belt) and originally described the fat spilling out over the trousers in the front but has since then migrated around to mean mainly the rolls of chubbiness spilling out over the back and sides on a woman squeezed into tight jeans.
